GINGER FOR HEALTH
It’s used widely used in many meals that I eat from starters, main meals and even deserts. It’s used all over the world in a variety of world cuisines from chili crab, curries to ginger confectionary and ginger biscuits. It’s also supposed to hold medicinal health benefits so it’s supposed to be good for me to eat… But what are they? I decided to find out what these benefits are that people talk about.
Here ‘s a list of some of the amazing benefits of ginger that you may not aware of. Although some of these are still being debated, you could do your own research if you want to use ginger for medicinal purposes.
The Benefits of Ginger
- Maintains Normal Blood Circulation. Ginger contains chromium, magnesium and zinc which can help to improve blood flow, as well as help prevent chills, fever, and excessive sweat.
- Remedies Motion Sickness. Ginger is a known effective remedy for the nausea associated with motion sickness. The exact reason is unknown, but those given ginger powder suffered less.
- Improves absorption. Ginger improves the absorption and stimulation of essential nutrients in the body. It does this by stimulating gastric and pancreatic enzyme secretion.
- Cold and Flu Prevention. Ginger has been used for thousands of years as a natural treatment for colds and flu around Asia. Was stated that to treat cold and flu symptoms in adults, steep 2 tbsp. of freshly shredded or chopped ginger root in hot water, two to three times a day
- Combats Stomach Discomfort. Ginger is ideal in assisting digestion, thereby improving food absorption and avoiding possible stomach ache. Ginger appears to reduce inflammation in a similar way to aspirin and ibuprofen
- Colon Cancer Prevention. Ginger may slow the growth of colorectal cancer cells.
- Reduce Pain and Inflammation. Ginger contains some of the most potent anti-inflammatory fighting substances known and is a natural powerful painkiller.
- Fights Common Respiratory Problems. If you’re suffering from common respiratory diseases such as a cough, ginger aids in expanding your lungs and loosening up phlegm because it is a natural expectorant that breaks down and removes mucus.. That way you can quickly recover from difficulty in breathing.
- Ovarian Cancer Treatment. Ginger powder induces cell death in ovarian cancer cells.
- Strengthens Immunity. Ginger helps improve the immune system. Consuming a little bit ginger a day can help foil potential risk of a stroke by inhibiting fatty deposits from the arteries. It also decreases bacterial infections in the stomach, and helps battle a bad cough and throat irritation.
- Combats Morning Sickness. Ginger has demonstrated a success rate of 75 percent in curing morning sickness and stomach flu.
Daadab, largest Rufegees Camp.
Somalis call home;
The UN is preparing to carry out a survey in the world's largest refugee camp, Dadaab in Northern Kenya, to find out how many of the hundreds of thousands of Somalis who live there would be prepared to go home.
But, as Gabriel Gatehouse
explains, very few residents are likely to say they want to return to
their country, despite concerns about extremism within the camp.
Kenya believes that some individuals from the camp were involved in planning the attack on the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi in September, in which more than 60 people were killed.
The Somali militant Islamist group al-Shabab claimed it carried out the attack and four men charged in connection with the siege are said to be of Somali origin.

ADOPTING THIS FROM JAPAN TANZANIA MIGHT GET SOMEWHERE
This will be very useful on preserving culture and also improve our education as well as children characters. Did you know.............
1. Did you know that Japanese children clean their schools every day for a quarter of an hour with teachers, which led to the emergence of a Japanese generation who is modest and keen on cleanliness.
2. Did you know that any Japanese citizen who has a dog must carry bag and special bags to pick up dog droppings. Hygiene and their eagerness to address cleanliness is part of Japanese ethics.
3. Did you know that hygiene worker in Japan is called "health engineer" and can command salary of USD 5000 to 8000 per month, and a cleaner is subjected to written and oral tests!!
4. Did you know that Japan does not have any natural resources, and they are exposed to hundreds of earthquakes a year but do not prevent her from becoming the second largest economy in the world? -
5.Did you know that Hiroshima returned to what it was economically vibrant before the fall of the atomic bomb in just ten years?
6. Did you know that Japan prevents the use of mobile in trains, restaurants and indoor
7. Did you know that in Japan students from the first to sixth primary year must learn ethics in dealing with people -
8. Did you know that the Japanese even though one of the richest people in the world but they do not have servants. The parents are responsible for the house and children -
9. Did you know that there is no examination from the first to the third primary level; because the goal of education is to instill concepts and character building, not just examination and indoctrination. -
10. Did you know that if you go to a buffet restaurant in Japan you will notice people only eat as much as they need without any waste. No wasteful food.
11. Did you know that the rate of delayed trains in Japan is about 7 seconds per year!! They appreciate the value of time, very punctual to minutes and seconds
12. Did you know that children in schools brush their teeth (sterile) and clean their teeth after a meal at school; They maintain their health from an early age.
13. Did you know that students take half an hour to finish their meals to ensure right digestion When asked about this concern, they said: These students are the future of Japan

Underwater Hotel Rooms in Pemba, Tanzania.
Swedish Inspiration......

Notch this up to Swedes and another ridiculously cool, innovative design.
This latest effort can be
found off an African island and straightaway is placed high on that
list of 'amazing hotels I wish i could get to' many travelers have.
Just off the coast of Tanzania, The Manta Resort on Pemba Island has added a beautiful, other-worldly underwater bedroom to their original 16-room offering.

They are the brains behind the The Utter Inn, an underwater room in the middle of a Swedish lake which was also one of our 15 unusual places to spend the night
Lying approximately 250
meters offshore, the latest underwater structure is a three-story
affair, with a rooftop deck, a bathroom and a lounge area at sea level
and finally the bedroom downstairs, with the fish.
At night, spotlights
under the windows attract and illuminate squid and octopus -- a more
reclusive crowd than the daytime sea life.
The resort is popular with divers owing to the coral reef around the island.
MPEMBA EFFECT
HOT WATER FREEZES FASTER THAN COLD WATER.
Mpemba was a secondary school student in Tanzania in 1963 who had the
fortune of re-discovering some interesting physics during one of his
cookery lessons.
Having boiled some milk for making ice cream, his class were told to
let the mixture cool before putting it in the refrigerator. Mpemba,
however was anxious of ensuring himself a space so put his mixture in
straight away.
![]() |
| Mr. Mpemba founder of mpemba effect. |
The other students waited and put their mixtures in later, after they'd cooled down. Having noted the time his ice cream entered the freezer compared with the rest of his class, Mpemba realised his mixture had frozen significantly faster than everyone else's.
He came away with the simple observation that "hot liquids freeze faster than cold liquids".
His science teacher told him this was impossible and he must have got mixed up. So why exactly is this impossible?
In a subsequent year at high school Mpemba was taught about Newton's law of cooling in science: the rate at which a body cools is proportional to the temperature difference between that body and its surroundings.
Any set of cooling curves plotted from such a function will never cross, no matter what the initial starting temperature. So a curve which starts at a higher temperature will never undercut a curve starting at a lower temperature and will therefore always take longer to cool. Varying the parameter k on the other hand could well cause graphs to cross. But this parameter is determined from some initial conditions, if both systems are not identical in such things as geometry or arrangement, with the exception of starting temperature, then it is hardly appropriate to compare cooling times for different initial temperatures.
However, Mpemba was undeterred by a theory which did not seem to support his observations: he asked a friend who sold ice cream in a nearby town who told him he routinely used hot mixtures because they froze more quickly.
Still persisting with this, in 1969 a visiting academic from University College in the capital called Dr Osborne came to visit Mpemba's school and he jumped at the opportunity to quiz him about this apparent violation of Newton's Law. Thankfully he didn't dismiss it outright, and upon returning to Dar es Salaam, he instructed a lab-assistant to carry out an experiment to see if hot water would freeze more quickly than cold water.
The lab-assistant reported the hot water had frozen first, but not to worry, "I'll keep on repeating the experiment until we get the right result." After several attempts it seemed Mpemba was right - hot water would freeze faster than cold water.
Causes and How to whiten yellow teeth.
HEALTH TIPS
Causes of yellow teeth.
Your smile is one of the first things people notice when they look at you. A mouth full of yellow teeth does not give the best first impression. Many causes of yellow teeth can be avoided, although sometimes nature is at fault.
- Foods/drinks. Coffee, tea, colas, wines, and certain fruits and vegetables (for example, apples and potatoes) can stain your teeth.
- Tobacco use.Smoking or chewing tobacco can stain teeth.
- Poor dental hygiene. Inadequate brushing and flossing to remove plaque and stain-producing substances like coffee and tobacco can cause tooth discoloration.
- Disease. Several diseases that affect enamel (the hard surface of the teeth) and dentin (the underlying material under enamel) can lead to tooth discoloration. Treatments for certain conditions can also affect tooth color. For example, head and neck radiation and chemotherapy can cause teeth discoloration. In addition, certain infections in pregnant mothers can cause tooth discoloration in the infant by affecting enamel development.
- Medications. The antibiotics tetracycline and doxycycline are known to discolor teeth when given to children whose teeth are still developing (before the age of 8). Mouth rinses and washes containing chlorhexidine and cetylpyridinium chloride can also stain teeth. Antihistamines (like Benadryl), antipsychotic drugs, and drugs for high blood pressure also cause teeth discoloration.
- Dental materials. Some of the materials used in dentistry, such as amalgam restorations, especially silver sulfide-containing materials, can cast a gray-black color to teeth.
- Advancing age. As you age, the outer layer of enamel on your teeth gets worn away revealing the natural yellow color of dentin.
- Genetics. Some people have naturally brighter or thicker enamel than others.
- Environment. Excessive fluoride either from environmental sources (naturally high fluoride levels in water) or from excessive use (fluoride applications, rinses, toothpaste, and fluoride supplements taken by mouth) can cause teeth discoloration.
- Trauma. For example, damage from a fall can disturb enamel formation in young children whose teeth are still developing. Trauma can also cause discoloration to adult teeth.
1. Baking soda is one of the best ingredients that you can use to get rid of your yellow teeth. You can make a whitening mouthwash with baking soda by mixing two tablespoon of baking soda with one cup of cold water.
2. Strawberries contain good amount of vitamin C, which help in making your teeth whiter. Take a few strawberries and grind them to make a paste. Now use this paste to rub your teeth gently. If done twice daily for a few weeks, the yellow tinge on your teeth will vanish.
3. The bleaching property present in lemon can also be used to get rid of yellow teeth. In fact, gargling with lemon juice and scrubbing teeth with lemon peel is also one of the best ways to make your teeth white.
4. Apple is a kind of crunchy fruit that can scrub your teeth like a toothbrush and make your teeth look whiter than before.
5. Salt is one of the fundamental dental cleansing agents used since ages as it helps to replenish the lost mineral content of the teeth and help them to regain their whiteness. You can use common salt regularly each morning as a tooth powder instead of toothpaste.
6. You can also clean your teeth with fresh orange peel on regular basis in order to reduce the yellow tinge accumulated on your teeth.
7. Banana peel:
a- Brush your teeth as usual with a natural toothpaste or you can use the banana peel first and then brush. Use a ripe banana as it has the most potassium content in it. Peel from the bottom end as this is how monkeys peel their bananas and it will keep you from having all those loose threads.
b- Take a piece of the inside of the banana peel and gently rub around on your teeth for about 2 minutes. The amazing minerals in the peel like potassium, magnesium and manganese absorb into your teeth and whiten them.
c- Repeat the same procedure at night or before bedtime, to whiten teeth. Leaving the banana peel on longer is optional if you have stains that need to come off.
d- Do the banana peel routine twice daily to see teeth whiten.
Revolutionary and Politician NELSON MANDELA still ill.
- Nelson Mandela unable to speak and uses face to communicate.
- He is being treated by doctors at home.
- Mandela has long battled lung infections dating back to his imprisonment.
"He remains very
sensitive to any germs, so he has to be kept literally sterile," Winnie
Madikizela-Mandela told South Africa's Sunday Independent newspaper in
an article published Sunday. "The bedroom there [at his home] is like an
ICU ward."
Mandela, 95, "remains
quite ill," she said, but doctors are tending to his needs at his
residence in Houghton, a suburb of Johannesburg.
The tubes are used to prevent infection in Mandela, who is said to be stable.
"He communicates with the
face, you see," Madikizela-Mandela told the newspaper. "But the doctors
have told us they hope to recover his voice."
On September 1, the
renowned leader was discharged from a Pretoria hospital where he had
been receiving treatment since June, the South African president's
office said Sunday.
Mandela was hospitalized June 8 because of a lung infection.
The frail icon has not
appeared in public for years, but he retains his popularity as the
father of democracy and emblem of the nation's fight against apartheid.
Mandela became an
international figure while enduring 27 years in prison for fighting
against apartheid, the country's system of racial segregation. He became
the nation's first black president in 1994, four years after he was
freed from prison.
His history of lung problems dates to his imprisonment on Robben Island, and he has battled respiratory infections since then.

kumpiga vita huyu shetani mweusi. Kwa hakika Mungu hawezi kuwatupa watu wake
ambao ni sisi, hadi sasa imeonekana kwa vitendo kuwa weusi hawawezi kujitawala;
ushindani.

| Nelson Mandela Akiwa Gerezani |
Kwa hiyo tunasababu nzuri kuwapeleka akina
Mandela jela waozee huko.
Napenda kuwatangazia mikakati mipya ya
kuwaangamiza hawa weusi. Tutumie sumu kuwamaliza, kamwe tusiruhusu idadi ya
watu hawa iendelee kukua vinginevyo tutakwisha. Tayari nimeshawaleta

wanapozaa hospitalini, watoto lazima wauawe pindi tu wanapotoka tumboni.
Pesa inafanya lolote
na kwa vile tunazo tuzitumie ipasavyo.
Kwa muda huu ndugu zangu weupe, msiyaweke
moyoni yanayosemwa dhidi yenu na wala msione aibu kuitwa wabaguzi na wala
sijali kuitwa mhandisi na Mfalme wa Ubaguzi. Nitabaki kuwa nyota inayong’aa…………..
MTUKUFU BOTHA, leo naondoa mawingu;kesho nitajaribu milima” HII NI HOTUBA YA ALIYEKUWA RAIS WA AFRIKA
KUSINI KWA BARAZA LAKE LA MAWAZIRI wakati wa utawala wa ubaguzi wa rangi nchini
humo.
